Feel calmer. Create without pressure. Bloom at your own pace.
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, creatively stuck, or disconnected from yourself, Artbloom is an invitation to slow down and gently return to what feels nourishing — through simple, mindful art-making. Why mixed media?
There is no “right” way to create
Mixed media naturally removes the pressure to be perfect. When you work with multiple materials, the focus shifts from results to experience, making it easier to relax and simply begin.
Layering mirrors emotional processing
Just like our thoughts and feelings, mixed media builds gently over time. Adding layers allows you to work through emotions without needing words or explanations.
Texture engages the senses and calms the nervous system
Tearing paper, brushing paint, or rubbing pastels engages the senses in a calming, grounding way. These tactile actions help quiet mental noise and bring you back into your body.
Some more reasons for WHY mixed media?
Simple materials feel safe and accessible
This reset uses everyday, easy-to-find supplies. Nothing fancy, nothing intimidating — just tools that invite you in rather than make you feel like you need special skills.
Play takes the place of pressure
Mixed media encourages curiosity instead of control. When play leads the process, creativity becomes restorative rather than demanding.
The process matters more than the outcome
In this reset, the artwork is not the goal. The act of quietly making — layering, exploring, and pausing — is where the real therapeutic benefit lives.
What Makes Artbloom Different
Unlike traditional art courses, Artbloom focuses on process, not outcome. Each day invites you into a simple mixed media practice designed to: • Engage your senses • Quiet the inner critic • Encourage self-compassion • Help you feel grounded and present There is no right or wrong result. Your artwork becomes a reflection of your inner state — not a performance.

Meet Your Instructor, Alka Chopra
Hi there! I'm Alka Chopra your guide on this creative reset! My journey with making art started as a teenager in grade 9. We had as assignment where we had to create art using different kinds of paper sort of a collage. I did not even know what a collage is at that time. I just enjoyed the process of cutting, pasting, adding color and so on. It was so much fun. I got a good grade and there was no stopping after that. Summer vacation meant making an art project. It was only later in life that I began to feel the health benefits of making art on a regular basis. Now I teach women primarily about integrating art into their lives and make it their selfcare system.
